Schlöndorff reflected on Adorf’s profound impact, stating, “It was the face of the performer Mario Adorf that truly touched us.” Adorf was widely celebrated for his memorable and significant role as Alfred Matzerath in Schlöndorff’s highly successful film, “The Tin Drum.”
