The OTEIZA–LABORAL kutxa Grant for the Promotion of Artistic Creation aims to foster new research and production processes inspired by the work and thought of Jorge Oteiza. Conceived as a space for experimentation and exploration, it invites new generations of creators to develop proposals that critically engage with Oteiza’s legacy, activating his figure through contemporary creation and contributing to the transmission of his artistic imagination to future generations, fostering new forms of resonance in the current cultural context.
The ultimate goal of this grant is the creation and production of an artistic work or project that can be publicly presented at the Oteiza Museum in the form of an exhibition, open conversation, publication, audiovisual piece, or any other format suitable for the project, as well as at LABORAL Kutxa venues. In addition to the financial award, the Jorge Oteiza Fundazio Museoa Foundation will offer curatorial and theoretical guidance, establishing the necessary working sessions for the project’s development. Access to Oteiza’s documentary collections, archives, and entire artistic collection will also be provided.
The launch of this grant is part of the DANOK OTEIZA community project, promoted by the Jorge Oteiza Museum Foundation.
